History

CCMA, LLC takes pride in its financial strength, operational excellence and leadership in the market of metals and ferroalloys. The company has a 25-year history as a successful marketer, trader and distributor of metals to the iron, steel, and aluminum industries.

The company was originally conceived as a marketer and distributor in the United States and Canada for the worldwide SKW group of companies. These included Murex and Anglo Blackwells from the United Kingdom, Affival from France, SKW Germany, and the North American ferroalloy producers in Calvert City, Kentucky, Niagara Falls, New York, and Becancour, Quebec.

In time the activities of the company were expanded to include trading in metals in China, Russia, South Africa, and Brazil as well as other countries. This activity also allowed the company to become a major supplier of raw materials to the operating companies of the SKW group. Among the most important of these relationships was the development of a steady supply of magnesium to ESM and SKW Germany out of Russia and China for the purpose of iron desulfurization in the steel industry.

Today CCMA, LLC, drawing on knowledge acquired in handling products once produced by the group, has developed strategic alliances with many world class producers of these same products. These alliances allow it to trade and distribute ores and metals such as ferromanganese, silicomanganese, ferrochromium, silicon metal, calcium silicon, aluminum grain refiners, aluminum hardeners, chromium metal, ferromolybdenum, ferro boron, ferro titanium, magnesium, magnesium desulfurizing reagents.
